How do I sign my employees up for pro deals?
The easiest way to sign up your employees for pro deals is to send us a staff roster. First, let’s make sure that you are a member! If you are not already signed up, send us your employment information and verification document so we can authenticate your position.
We have moved our roster submission process to an online portal. The new portal will allow for bulk roster uploads at your convenience as well as adding singular staff to your roster when you have fewer updates.
We will need to assign someone (up to three total) as a manager for this team portal access. Once we have a manager set, you will be set to upload your first roster right away! Once you upload a roster, our system will generate individual codes for each person invited, which will only work for that specific person. At the top of the hour following your roster upload, an email invite will automatically be sent to each person listed on the roster.
Do you offer group accounts?
We do not offer group accounts for organizations. Sending us your staff roster is the best way to get your employees the tools they need to easily set up their own pro deal accounts. If you are looking to place an order on behalf of your company, please see our instructions for placing organizational orders here.
Does this cost money?
Nope! Outdoor Prolink is completely free.
Why is this a good benefit for my employees?
Your staff live and breathe the outdoors, and that requires a lot of gear. Offering your team an Outdoor Prolink membership would allow them to shop over 130+ of their favorite brands in one place, at a reduced price. With up to 50% off top brands like Black Diamond, La Sportiva, Outdoor Research, Darn Tough, etc., they can gear up without breaking the bank.
How do I add/remove staff from my roster in the future?
Updating your roster is simple, just email apply@outdoorprolink.com the changes that need to be made.
I think we’re already set up. Do you still want our roster?
Yes! Although you may have offered Outdoor Prolink to your team in the past, this does not mean that we have your current roster on file or that all of your employees have activated their accounts. If your entire staff is set up, however, sending a roster update still has its perks. Once an account is due to renew, the member is required to go through a re-application process. Sending us your current roster allows us to renew everyone's accounts and invite those who need to set one up.
What’s the length of membership?
Outdoor Prolink memberships last for 15 months. Once you’re within 90 days of your expiration date, the option to renew your membership becomes available. Sending us your staff roster will automatically renew anyone with an existing account, no matter how far along in their membership they are, giving them an extra boost and taking the responsibility to renew out of their hands.
How are you different from other pro deal sites?
Outdoor Prolink offers 100+ brands to shop from, many of which differ from our competitors. Although the standard discount offered is as high as 50% off MSRP, it gets even better. Our brands frequently run exclusive Outdoor Prolink specials like free shipping, additional discounts, gear giveaways and more. . Whether you’re buying from one brand or all 100+ brands, you’ll use one check-out cart. Oh, and did we mention that you won’t have to take required “quizzes” to access the discounts?
Once you become a member, you join a community of like-minded pros who are always getting after it. Check out our blog Dirtbag Dreams for stories and gear reviews from some of our members. Our social pages like Facebook and Instagram are great places to interact with other pros. If you’re in the Boulder area, keep an eye out for one of our events! We’d love to meet you.
We hold ourselves to the highest standard when it comes to the authentication of our pro base. While other pro programs allow applicants to join before they are verified, we review each applicant and their supporting documentation manually. Because this process can take some time, submitting a company roster is the quickest and easiest way to give your staff the tools they need to activate their account. We create trusted relationships with the organizational contact at a company or organization. That organizational contact is tasked with certifying that everyone on a company roster is a legitimate outdoor pro employee at that company. Abuse of this privilege, or additions of individuals who are not pro's would result in the entire company being exiled from the pro program.
